Boxing Beatdown
My entry for Trijam 304
HOW TO PLAY:
Press any button when the scrolling bar overlaps the coloured nodes on the top of the screen. Red Nodes must be tapped, Blue Nodes must be held. Higher accuracy attempts will deal more damage to the training dummy.
OTHER INFO:
After the first hour I realised my idea was way too ambitious with the time constraints, so I pivoted hard. Though I'm relatively happy with what I've got after only 3 hours. The very basics of the idea are present, which is all I could realistically ask for here.
The fully fleshed out idea would have had:
- Indicators for input precision (miss, hit, perfect hit)
- Sound lmao
- Some text in-game explaining controls/objective
- Smoother animations, as well as a brief intro/outro
- A couple randomly chosen attack patterns
